Galle is a wet place (90+ inches) and high scores are common, Gayle scored 333 here. You'd expect more draws than there have been.
In the 1st Test I felt Aus didn't have that bit of luck you need, and ran into a batsman in red hot form. I doubt we will see a repeat. Although Herath should be just as good here.

The only luck Australia had was bad! Will have a look at pitch and weather as usual. the genie might be out of the bottle with SL. They do have some talent. Interesting if they will do an India and produce a bunsen. If the pitch is anyway half decent I can see Aussie putting up a big total first up. Toss is crucial for me.

I'm starting to go against pre match trades but have taken the 4.5 on the draw. I'm due a toss to go my way and if get to bat first then we could see a massive draw collapse. Just hoping this is the classic back draw to lay and then lay.

2nd from last match here India were 1.01 and got done over well and truly.
I was 1600 green India that match and could see what was happening and traded a load at 1.16. Ended 2.8 up I think. Shame I could not see what was happening in Kingston today. |

The pattern here is big first innings scores then 2nd innings carnage. Throw in the likelyhood of some rain, and a draw back looks reasonable.
Although Aus bowling first up, not that pitch dependent. So I'd like to see Aus bat first. |

This looks like a spinner's paradise! Of the top 25 bowling figures, 24 belong to the spinners. Herath has taken 6 or more wickets in an innings 5 times here.
Reading through the australian batting lineup, it really doesn't fill me with confidence. SL price really a gift. |
