looks like the umpire was right

Report DStyle July 27, 2016 1:01 AM BST
the implication would be that if batsman ran an odd number of runs, and one was short, they should return to their original end, but if they run an even number and one is short, they should remain at the end they ended up at.
Report GRANTCKING July 27, 2016 1:01 AM BST
munro or busto for trinbago
Report tomtimtum July 27, 2016 1:01 AM BST
in a short run, the first run is disallowed and the 2nd one allowed
Report tomtimtum July 27, 2016 1:02 AM BST
A run is "short" if either, or both, batsmen fail to make good their ground in turning for a further run. Although such a "short" run shortens the succeeding one, the latter, if completed, counts.

Think when they're talking about disallowance of runs they mean stuff like dead balls

Report tomtimtum July 27, 2016 1:06 AM BST
Disallowance of ALL runs not just one short run, thats how I interpret it
Report tomtimtum July 27, 2016 1:09 AM BST
NOTES ON LAW 19 [see original]

If while the ball is in play, the batsmen have crossed in running, neither returns to the wicket he has left except in the case of a boundary hit, or under Laws 30 Note 1 and 46 Note 4 (vii). This rule applies even should a short run have been called, or should no run be reckoned as in the case of a catch.

My gut was right all along, nagging me as i said, so i escaped being with Sammy, for my initial outlay...

But then i lay Sammy at 1.07 ....i green out very small, glad not to lose, go to bed early, unusually, 10 overs left, whatever, and surrender a healthy profit.........

It is a nutty nutty world..........laugh or cry.........just move on........Grin
