backed SA @6.4 to clear red, would not be backing then otherwise leading by 25 with 5 wicks left??
always a wise thing to do. Only takes one massive sting and you never do it again

It is the sort of pitch where this could happen. England could have collapsed like this yesterday tbf
if you have batsman that are committed to playing long innings the pitch is no problem

This is a disaster for south african cricket
They aren't really interested in being the number 1 side(they have other priorities). Now they are soon going to lose AB to politics as well. Won't be surprised if Steyn hangs his boots soon with the trouble he has had with his body. In short, SA aren't just beaten, they are DIVIDED.

There is no fun in watching a player of that quality beating the hell out of club players. After retirement yes, but if thats the reason he retires, then CSA will cross WICB in ineptness.

Dylan,It was stupid of us really when we had the odds on chance. Coulda, shoulda, woulda! All happy now but missed a trick, not an opportunity because i would have kept the SA green but just cleared the red.Dangerous pitch and conditions and the ball was hard. should know better, do know better! should have acted like an adult!
Pitch is not dangerous Fact

I know. The frustrating thing is that I was well well up on the second test close of day 1 but couldn't resist a lot of draw laying, going deeper as the price shortened to what seemed ridiculous levels. Whole sessions then kept going by with 0 or 1 wicket in them.

6 wickets in 10 overs was again incredible from Broad. Can't believe this game ended on Day 3. Th draw was 2.3 only yesterday!!
Day 1 wasn't it, with SA 1 down for 100 or so? As whisperingdeath was saying earlier in the thread, open goal that. I missed it but did get enough of England at 6 at the same sort of time to do well. Getting them at near 3 at lunch today seemed an even better bet, which I'm a little disappointed I didn't take a bigger risk on and wipe out my SA green to do it. Generally think England pretty undervalued all series, although obviously let the chance to win the second test slip through their fingers.
