Sachin's Blasters v Warne Warriors, 2nd T20

I've done as advised in the previous thread and lumped double my usual one day game stake on Sachin's B'stards err Blasters at evens. I've just been reminded of it by the thread and very happy indeed to check in and find they're moved in to 1.76. I probably ought to lay some off, as despite the wanting the series to go to 1-1, this must be a sufficiently random format not to be so very far off coin toss territory.

Is this ground home of the Houston Astros?

Didn't watch the 1st game in New York, looking forward to see how the American crowds react to cricket

I honestly believe that Sachin's bastards could be one of the bets of the year.

Some things to look out for: mcgrath and swann back for the bastards, Ponting and Vettori out for Warne's ****s, and Blasters bat first (it's much easier to f*ck up a chase)

You get all three of those things happening, or even two and 1.8 is approaching the bet of the year.

Vettori being "rotated" would be the flag for me.

are you guys suggesting the fix is in here. do you think they have agreed it would make for a better spectacle if it went to the third game at 1-1. after seeing the first game i was going to pile into warnes boys. im not sure what to do now.

I think there will be an element of seriousness in this game. I have no idea about the dimensions of Houston or the wicket

I'm not saying it's a fix as such, I don't think anyone will be giving less than 80 percent, but the teams may be adjusted to give the Blasters the best possible chance and Warne's captaincy may so brilliantly imaginative as to leave us lesser mortals think, "why the **** would he do that", :)

Didn't realize the MLB had a 1 off wild card game now. Astros did beat the Yankees in that 1 off match, to qualify for the ALDS

These are some of the best players from the last 20 years. These guys will still have big egos and want to perform. I'm not sure any of the players in the lineups would be interested in throwing the game

I agree.......about the big egos statement. I couldn't even contemplate Warne, McGrath, Ponting, Tendulkar giving a half ass effort

I think if betting on innings runs , watch a few overs first before deciding.

This is a pantomime, not a competitive game, do you think these players would give the same effort, intensity and focus to a benefit game as to a Test Match?
.... this is somewhere between the two.

Also this is my opinion, I think if the ball goes through the infield clay, it may slow down. All of these factors making me thing its going to be a slightly low scoring game.

I think the outfield will be quicker than the last game, but we will see...
