Pakistan have bowled their overs slowly, according to Bumber 11.4 overs an hour. I think the umpires will factor that in when deciding to pull stumps here.

Rules are rules. I'm sure they have a certain reading which means they go off. And presumably it hasn't hit that mark yet.

Good question.

The umpires have been very weak here in terms of Pak timewasting anyway. So would be intriguing if that indeed did happen.

Easy to say in hindsight but at the end England were theoretically only four balls from winning this; and didn't score a single boundary in the final two overs.

i think someone must have assumed that the umpires might play on as they did so many years ago.

they is ZERO chance of that happening these days. it's a set light reading throughout the match and the sun wasn't going to choose to set later today because there was an exciting finish in store.

Wish I'd gone in heavier but just not brave enough to go beyond £1.2k at risk. Can't complain really though: was losing £300 almost all game and ended up winning the same instead.

I would have liked to see England attack the chase on the basis of say only getting 13 overs. As it was only 11 got bowled, hardly a surprise. I didn't get to see the chase but it should have been a straight T20 chase not an ODI chase. Run a ball was bever going to be enough. Well done to Rashid thought. Hope he gets some help. I think maybe he could run in faster to help his speed and rythmn. It would be worth investing into a legspin coach for him. I don't know who he uses at Yorkshire but it would be good for the Natioanl Academy to have someone to spread the Love. Interesting on TMS yesterday about the leg spinner who took 300 wickets in a season twice and 200 plenty of times!

I dont think that wicket was easy to play big shots on whispering - also no fielding restrictions or legside wides.

yep scoring at 9 an over on a day 5 track with everyone on the fence is no easy task

they needed a couple of big overs early on to get ahead of the rate and break the back of it

but you have to think about it. push the singles hit the bad balls and put pressure on the bowler. Misbah always knew the light would be called. Look I backed the draw, took insurance but not all round green. I let the winnings sit on the draw.

At least they thought about the batting order! Complaining about bad light at the end is not stupid it is ridiculous and insincere. At the end of the day all I am saying is they could have had a thrash and not died wondering. They could have shut up shop and played for time themsleves if they had to. A miracle is almost like a dough dough! If you have a chance of seeing one you have to take it. England didn't roll the dice is what I am saying and I think they should.
