Draw was back above evens there, with probably fewer than 5 minutes left! Can't stand to put any more on though.
yeh they do what they want on the 5th day

Pakistan have bowled their overs slowly, according to Bumber 11.4 overs an hour. I think the umpires will factor that in when deciding to pull stumps here.
very hard to predict these umpires

If the umps are going to take them off they need to do it soon - will look ridiculous if they do it when Eng only need a dozen, even if that's what the light meter says
Rules are rules. I'm sure they have a certain reading which means they go off. And presumably it hasn't hit that mark yet.

Last over this?
yes

True Darlo, but in that case what's stopping a bowler simply refusing to bowl?Might get suspended for a game or two, but they still get the draw. Like a professional foul in the last minute in footy...
Good question.
The umpires have been very weak here in terms of Pak timewasting anyway. So would be intriguing if that indeed did happen.

Huge

1/2 a massive price for draw
Agree. I reckon there's only one over after this. At most.

Easy to say in hindsight but at the end England were theoretically only four balls from winning this; and didn't score a single boundary in the final two overs.

11 overs in a hour isn't that bad
Taking in context, I know where you're coming from; but it's 24 overs short over a full day.

I don't think it would have mattered if England had scored quicker or declared sooner - that would have just changed the point at which Pak started throwing their wickets away. 17.2Rashid to Mohammad Hafeez, OUT, prodded to point, and what on earth?! It's a run out! Why would they even think of a run to Ben Stokes in the covers? Hafeez hesitated but was called through anyway, and the shy pinged down the non-striker's stumps with him miles from the frame!41.1Rashid to Younis Khan, OUT, slapped, into the covers. He's DONE IT! ADIL RASHID HAS A TEST WICKET! Sharp spin, a loose stroke, and finally, after [quick mental calculation ... (34x6) + (10x6) + 1 = 265] deliveries, he has his breakthrough!52.5Ali to Misbah-ul-Haq, OUT, Misbah skips out and is bowled aiming a slog down the ground! Well, either Misbah has lost his marbles, too, or he knows that the handshake is shortly forthcoming... Bit of turn again for Moeen but he was nowhere near making contactThey weren't trying to lose imo - they were trying to make it a possibility to shift the odds
yeh probably right, still fixing/cheating imo

about 10 in the end, but there were loads of wickets & Eng wasted 50 mins this morning & 2/3 hours yesterday

england deserve all they get after yesterday & this morning
regular readers / posters will have read my thoughts on Ian Bell in this test match, 63 runs from 33 over strike rate of 30% even when England were 200/1, dropping two dollies, really not good enough that is the difference !!! Give Taylor a chance
