there are a lot of people playing in these markets who don't understand the game or the odds
relating to it.

I've posted on other Barbados games about how good their bowling attack is.

There is a failure to understand how difficult it is to score off good slow spin bowlers on slow turners.

For example Gayle has failed twice against Barbados.

Depends how you measure liquidity. So much of the time you can drive seven double decker buses between the back and lay prices and hence the volatility.

it's pretty vanilla to backload your chase grant. i'd agree it's not the right approach when it's a small target, but plenty of sides still do it.

as i said, i think guyana are very big here given it's five overs of pace left.

When I played cricket at school or club - which was in essence T20 - we were disappointed not to score 120. That was 20, nearly 30 years ago as juniors. It's appalling professionals can't score lots more. Though that does take something away from the fact it is still a battle of bat vs ball.

Maybe liquidity is the wrong term, the fill rate in these games is much lower, that's why the moves are bigger because people can't get matched and just chase the price

IPL regularly have £40m+ matched. ODI cricket can be more. This figure isn't a lot for cricket.

these are not good wickets for fast bowlers ... but if they are canny enough to bowl slower balls and vary things ..... they can be ok.

Mostly because the market has been badly wrong in lots of matches.

many have gone from under 1.1 on one side to less than 1.1 on the other.
