treadwell is not a spinner he can only bowl flat arm balls
unless you hit the spinners they can just keep squeezing you. Someone needs to man up and get them over the top early on

you need someone who can play spin at 7. i understand planning for the future, but for this series, with india's spinners, you need a good batting all rounder, in either bopara or ali, rather than stokes who seems far too hard hander and jordan who's definitely a bowling all rounder.

If we can't get rid of Cook he must bat further down the order.
In many ways he's a perfect number 4/5 consolidating in the middle overs nurdling the spinners about at 4 to 5 an over.
Stokes has to go, and be replaced with either ravi or ali.
Happily ditch one of Bell or Root and go with Vince/Taylor.

England really have to wake up. Cook is just not fit for the job. He puts Hales under silly amounts of pressure. The need for an explosive start will be even greater in Australia. Open with Lumb. Bring Taylor into the middle order for Root and play Ali instead of Tredwell. Replace Stokes with Luke Wright or Ravi Bop.
ballance must wonder what he's done wrong not to get a game. got an exceptional 1 day record for yorkshire
I think you've got to stick with Root but get rid of Bell now and replace with Taylor.
