they've discarded both compton and carberry after 14 tests between them. alright neither set the world on fire but did ok and now they've tossed away that experience gained

no guarantee robson will do any better and you can't expect a lot from him in first few tests

and the reason the england team has more of these robson-type players is pretty obvious

1. our cricket is much more international

2. we spread out all over the world in the first place so lots of players have english parent(s)
