From espncricinfo.com
David Warner, sold to Sunrisers for INR 550 lakh. Delhi decide not to use their Right to Match card. Warner will play for Sunrisers.

So Kevin Pietersen & David Warner to play for Sunrisers.

Hales was never likely to be bought. He virtually has to play as an opener, and so was competing in the auction with proven, experienced players like M. Hussey, McCullum, Watson etc. On top of that, his base price was way too high for a backup or potential for the future. Also, Hales isn't good enough.
Report CorridorofUncertainty February 15, 2014 10:01 PM GMT
yeah - he's really sh*t. in fact so sh*t he's rated second best T20 batsman in the world at the mo having been rated first.
reason he didnt get picked was his base price was too high for a relatively unknown name. And IPL just loves names.

hales is very good player but he needs to improve his play against spinners
