No indication Australia will rest any players for yet another dead rubber match.

Small position on England because I usually bet on the series loser in a dead rubber match. Without much confidence though and will look to trade out early.

I think England played so badly in the last game, because of fear of losing early wickets, which  shouldn't be a problem in this match.

At the spin friendly Stadium Australia. Hopefully a good match as the last international of the Australian summer.

if I were Australian it would be a batting and bowling dilemma you gottta chose 2 out of the 3 for openers (White, Warner or Finch), Wicket keeper 1 of 3 (Paine, Haddin or Wade), 3 out of 8 for all rounders (Johnson, Coulter Nile, Starc, Hazlewood, Watson, Henriques, Coulter Nile, Faulkner)
Report nicky27 February 2, 2014 11:33 AM GMT
Warner and Finch for me ...been impressed with finch upfront , can destroy a bowling attack in the powerplay overs if he gets it right

Definitely agree. Australia won 5-0, and Bailey averaged 30 odd as they say 'if it aint broke don't fix it"

Report nicky27 February 2, 2014 11:41 AM GMT
yes, hogg , cos he can hit a ball too ( IF NEEDED )
Report tommygunn February 2, 2014 11:42 AM GMT
bailey is finding touch in these t20's give him another go. averaging 30 is not the worst in the world, he needs a bit of time. Phil Hughes will be out LBW like every other game for nothing.

I have Shane Watson a bit lower on my pecking order because he hasn't played enough T20 recently to merit a position. But his best is still good enough to make an Australian first XI in T20
Report tommygunn February 2, 2014 11:43 AM GMT
the thing with these t20's is you dont need to blood youngsters, you can play these older players, brett lee, hogg, hodge. because they only bowl 4 overs.

there have been a litany of selection errors in the limited overs format which makes me wonder where giles clarke is getting his crack from when he comes out with statements about how the King of Spain is the front runner for the job Flower has just vacated.

This match alone is a mystery.

No spinner, why in god's dear name would you replace Lumb with Stokes? You replace a bowler with Stokes, that's the luxury of T20s. And who should that bowler be I wonder, how can anyone drop Lumb, a man with some pedigree, and keep Dernbach, a man with none.

You've then got the cautious approach from Wright and Hales to open up with to compensate for the over aggressive silliness in the last one.

I don't care if we lose to a better side, but I wont stand for losing when we kneecap ourselves before a ball is bowled.

Dernsh** should never play another game for England - how many chances has he had !! Just because he bowls a selection of deliveries the selectors think he is good - and our best as he bowls at the death - I played a bit of cricket , even graced the hallowed turf but have seen for a long time he is no Eng bowler - we've got idiots running our game , I agree with you Dstyle Giles is not the answer
