Pollies nicky. wrote a bill many years back in relation to online casinos. Then they read it, and realised it covered sports too. Stupidest part, we can bet in running on horse racing

A partial answer, will be to protect us (make us use the real pokies to support governments) rather than play online casinos where they can't tax us.
The law, is about pokies and casinos. Sports is merely collateral damage. It is quite possible to bet my house and family on the result of this game, as long as I use the phone line to talk to somebody rather than use the phone line to click a button.

We are dealing with people that stand up and argue with a straight face about corruption in sport and exchanges enabling corrupt people to lay a result and throw a match, because they don't understand that laying a result in sport is simply backing the other team anyway, which has been possible for as long as any of them have lived, and what they are fighting to keep.

The only difference is 1 silly little law.
I do think though, that this law opens our bookies up, as they are very happy to take bets on sports live via the phone. If online was allowed, I think we would lose a lot of value with them.
I do a whole lot of betting with the books, as they tend to take positions, rather than make books, so generally is some fantastic value available.

Not really. Money management is the key to that.
On a brighter note, haven't had a bet for a while, +460 Perth +335 Sydney, and not looking like needing another bet. Not ideal, but a reasonable day all the same, with some arbing on the UK races to come.

Tough all the same to position somebody to take a catch. But more publicity by aiming at the most populated area for sixers, surely, and letting the prize go off. Would be very surprised if it did or if they even get a chance to get a hand to it.

For example. We have laws over here that don't allow us to drive whilst drunk. Yet we don't have a specific law stating that we aren't allowed to drive drunk whilst carrying a handbag.
