treble that here
but have just backed engerland with some of the green in the desperate hope but disbelief that the weather forecast for tomorrow is as crap as today- if the weather speeds through a bit quicker than expected- you never know |
|
By:
nuttin but im tempted to stick a grand on at 1.15.
would take a miracle to bowl england out in 2 sessions. may not even get 1 sessions play either. |
|

for now ive just layed england at 44. hohoho price of the century. wouldnt back em at 1000.

I'm all in on the draw - 15K. most at 1.8 but some tonight at 1.17
Rain systems coming in from the Atlantic are very predicable - not like thunder storms. The outfield will be unplayable for a couple of hours even when/if it stops raining mid afternoon which is the earliest prediction. and then the AUS popgun attack needs to take 10 wickets. more like a 20/1 shot than 6/1 in my book - and I follow my book. wouldnt be going all-in. though all-in for me would be 200k probably so i wouldnt go all-in on anything.
just layed england for an easy 50 notes. but i did consider a 2k bet on the draw. cant see it being owt else. i agree this rain looks very likely to hit and take away at least a session, probably 2. may be worth keeping an eye on the rain radar overnight though. |

AUD 1K, plus some more in the series markets.
I'll be surprised if we get a session in tommorow. |
|
By:
I had 1k on at 2.1 and layed off the stake at 1.25
Has to be a draw. Aus aren't good enough to win a Test match. They've lost 7 in a row I think so a draw would be a great result for them. |

Will probably green up when England wakes to rain hammering down at OT.
|

sideshow, what kind of thing would you consider putting 200k on ?

I'm out at 1.03. Very nice.
Can't see why Clarke is whining about them coming off last night - all he would have done is bat on pointlessly anyway. He was too scared of being remembered as the captain who lost 5-0 and played for a draw that lost AUS the ashes |

At around 1.29 shouldn't we backing the draw?
|
|
By:
Yes, just before lunch it was 1.31. As the lunch bell went it dropped to 1.24. Rain was taking a northward turn from South Wales, and now lined up for all afternoon. That looks it for today.

Good day! Eng retain the Ashes and draw backers retain large sums of £££
Best draw price I saw today was 1.68 as KP waddled back to the hutch. I'd like to say I went all again at that price but that would be an untruth... |

580. Initially backed Oz but went on draw heavily on Thurs just after lunch when I thought pitch looked like a road, rain was coming and OT is a 'draw ground'.
I'll back Oz again at Durham only because my series preiction was 2-1 England and I think the Oval will be a draw. I might be wrong but have a hunch Oval and OT are the most similar of our test pitches, fast, flat, high scoring but with turn late in match. |
