windies deserve to go out for being so stupid tbh.  Samuels first, and the pollard.  Fair enough that it was those 2 that got them to a winning position, but you can't just throw it away in the way that they both did.

I've always thought this too. Obviously not. Though I did think you could theoretically have half runs so I'm even confusing myself.

There is no tie in D/L - it's win or lose.  SA will win this unless they come back on.  Who knows about the tie market though...

1.04 for a Tie so all but certain but SA were sub 1.3 whilst a Tie was 2.0. To me it felt like a possible retirement in a tennis match 5-5 in Set 01 TB but someone is smashing on one big server at 1.3 for Set 01.

So whilst Tie was hovering around 2.0, people where smashing SA at 1.3 on the basis they could have come back out for a one over shootout. Deary me. Could have been spectacular, never won 5 figures on cricket before.

I had backed West Indies on the outright, what a silly way to go out. Surely the players should have been aware of the D/L situation and the cloudy skies.

what a crazy match , had everything ...huge CMM fluctuations, crazy confusion about the D/L Tie , really helps to not only know the cricket laws in these situations , but also the market rules , of course a D/L chase can be tied ,thats what the 'D/L Par Score' is all about,  there seemed to be great confusion about this , lots of opportunities to literally take free money , once the umps took them off they simply could not have come back on , because at that point where they were taken off we were already past the cut off time , I love matches like this for trading , might be more opportunities like this with rain about over the next few days ...

The problem is that the rules are open to change at will from what I've seen.  i.e. they players shouldn't have really come back on at Headingley - that cost me!  Also, yesterday they were already playing past the cut-off time!  Who is to say if the showers had stopped quickly as earlier they wouldn't have come back on for 15 mins?

These rules are sensible to ensure they get a game in BUT they should be consistent as it makes a CMM = NO and test match draw FAR less likely.

Yes they need a rain metre........one more over...one less....playing in the rain...then it is too much rain....it is left open to interpretation in the end...

A one over bowl....would have been fairer i think...yes i do understand the law...but still...people go to a game... pay good money...etc..
