Given, they can't make up lost overs by that point I'm backing the draw here quite heavily but only a small stake initially.

markets in a spin ..england bouncing between 3-7 and 4.6 and the draw 1.29-1.38
im tempted stickon, but im wary of new zealand facing 2 or 3 hours in poorish light and losing a few wickets, i reckon though if they can fend off the next 10 overs without loss, the jobs nearly done (assuming forecast weather is correct)
as soon as the covers come off, you should get your price, assuming they dont come off after tea
even if the rain stops now, the odds are nz will only have to face around 30 more overs today...

did you underestimate the weather forecast pre the india test? i must admit i never expected a wash out
tempting to back india, they could put oz in by tea and they would need to face 4 sessions of constant spin
if today is a wash out, to put it simply, england would need to bowl nz out in three hours tomorrow

yeah i agree he probably wont declare, but theres a chance if they continue to score at 5/6 an over and treat the hour before tea as a twenty/twenty bash (with the game safe)

10k wanting to lay 175 runs at 1.01. Nice weather punt that, if it came off with no more play today.
If they go out to bat after tea , there will be no trouble getting that 10k matched . To get 22 runs on a placid wicket with only 2 wickets down is better than a 1.01 chance , its probably a thousand to one on in real terms , weather permitting . But guess someone wants a punt on the weather ! Inspection in 8 minutes , play probable according to Sky just now .

started by backing over 300, was well pleased then checked the 5 day radar thingy on one of the links and it looked terrible.
was lucky to reverse at 325and then took the 300 at 1.02, 70 at 1.01 as a little weather bet. Ta for sky advice, cant believe the delay, massive flip there.

not a delay as such but more they'd rather finish showing their old clips or clips of the 1st innings than actually update you with news. stupid stuff.

Draw rather big with the prospect of no play tomorow. I'll wait till a couple of hours before play to see what the radar looks like before trading out my draw green or not. Unless I oversleep as I did day 1, which jammed me up a bit at the start of the match.
wow. That was fun lsat night. At one point panic set in and NZ were backed down to 85 (I have no idea why).

Interesting. Forecasts are all poor still but radar looking rather clear - but I guess the rain is too far away yet.
And to add to that exchanged a bit of green on Draw for large green on ENG in case market panics again. It would not surprise me.

can't believe my luck , left a 400 Quid back up at 1.95 Test match end Afternoon session Day 5 yesterday afternoon , and 397 quid of it got matched overnight sometime !!! mega LoL , have no idea who matched that , but thank you so much
The 1.1 on the draw last night NZ time was a gift. Wish I had taken more of it.

yep. That weather front could have moved though just like it did yesterday at the start of play. Always worth keeping powder for another day.

Some '8' left on the 175 run lines - There is no chance of play today - it's free money. No money left my end so someone else grab it.
Thanks for the tip, Nigel, but I only ever do cricket match odds and series winner. I'm always wary of markets I don't usually trade. Like Nicky's afternoon session back. I don't see why thats a sure fire winner.

Fair cop. Looks like some people got confused by that market and this test - 2.42 matched on the draw!!
draw was free money from the start only had 3 days of crickey a 1 session not enough for a result
nicky27 post I think got the session wrong . The 397 was matched on the evening session , think I saw it in passing last night ,cant believe someone laid it . Even with a bit of play ( unlikely I suspect) still a very short odd evening session result .
o yeah , soz , of course i meant evening session , which is essentially getting 1.95 on the draw PLUS the possibility of a result sometime after tea on the last day ( when the draw can't have been trading any higher than 1.5

i remember once, when i first started on here that i laid day 5 evening session thinking that if it was a draw, id win as there wasnt a result. when the price and money started pouring in, a little concerned i looked at the rules and realised my mistake. Can be a bit of a confusing market to any newbies or those abit daft that they dont fully understand the rules.
England need one of those mirale sessions of play like they did against sri lanka at cardiff
Looking back, I think the only miracle results occured when some of the participating players had mischevious bets 
Recent revelations in the game have made me very cynical and has made me wonder about amazing turnarounds of the past.

In the book, Hawkins claims that a bookie, 'Vinay', told him that the match between England and Sri Lanka at Cardiff in May 2011 was fixed. Then-England captain Andrew Strauss had described the match as "one of the most extraordinary matches I played in". At the end of the fourth day, England, replying to Lanka's 400 all out, were at 491-5. With rain wiping out the morning session of the fifth day, a draw seemed the only possible result. But England declared at 496/5 and then stunningly bowled out Lanka for 82 in just 24.4 overs to pull off a nearmiraculous victory by an innings and 14 runs.
Hawkins points out that by the time the Lankan players took the field at Cardiff, they had not been paid for over eight weeks as the Sri Lanka board was in dire straits financially, following huge expenditure on preparations for the World Cup.
He writes, "It does not take a particularly cynical mind to come to the conclusion that a cricketer who has been treated with such little regard for his welfare... might - just might - be tempted by the offer of payment to throw a Test."
Hawkins concedes that Vinay's claims can be easily dismissed. "A judge, administrator, player or perhaps an ACSU (Anti-corruption and Security Unit of the ICC) officer can wave them away with contempt."
But Hawkins poses a thought-provoking question. "The conundrum for cricket is obvious. Does it start listening to folks who are at the black heart of the matter when no one else appears willing to talk?"
This shows the startling suggestion that a bookie correctly predicted the way the Pakistan innings would unfold in the crucial 2011 World Cup semifinal against India in Mohali isn't the only explosive revelation in Hawkins' new book.
