Skips mentioned he read this book.

Looks like a good read and goes on the amazon wish list should they start paying uk tax!

Is this the book thread now silva or just about this particular book?

Actually that was one question I wanted answered.  What bookie would offer bets on a no ball being bowled at a particular time?  The answer is probably none!

So how did they go to jail for trying to defraud a bookie?

Who were their solicitors?  Sounds like they should go to jail too for impersonating a solicitor!

nonshouter......it wasnt about betting on the no balls, it was to prove that they indeed had the bowlers in their pocket. no bookie in the world would ever bet on the prediction of a no ball

As log roller says, the no balls totally irrelevant. Waste of a chapter IMO

You don't need to find a bookie betting directly on when a no ball will occur to make a fortune from that knowledge.

First prove your bowler is reliable by getting him to bowl one in a game where there'll be no suspicions, e.g. a Test match. Then get him to bowl one at a pre-arranged time in a T20. Directly before the no ball lay his team on here in the match odds market for as much as you can get for a two or three ticks. Then green up once the no ball has been signalled.

This system works well for 5 wides too.
