That's the point - back the 1.02/1.03 shots that should be 1.001

We'll see 1.04 overnight because(a) people irrationally fixate on unlikely events like rain, or Ashwin century(b) England backers will trade out to guarantee their wins
Which is one of the reason why backing low odds can be a great strategy

Backing at 1.01 is a great strategy if you want a small fortune. The only problem is that you usually start with a large one!Actually making 1, 2 or 3% over night is a great strategy if you have loadsa money. I would imagine that's how the big boys clean up.Me as a gambler I think it is crazy but I went to bed at 1.01 and now I have to pay 3% to get my money back, go figure.Nigel is not as dumb as he sounds!
Indeed. It's just patience.

Whisperingdeath is right. The big boys lay £500,000 @ 1.01. If England win they take a £5,000 hit and wait to land the lephant another day. Not for the likes of us.
No, I think WD was talking about that in reverse - i.e. backing the 1.01. If you watch markets you'll see big lumpers come in occasionally - look at the volume spikes.

India went 73/8 after lunch. there would be real panic and 1.1 hit if the partnership is doubled from here. 1.04 would be touched with another 8-10 runs.
I'm sure there would if they could magically take wickets back

Been slowly mopping up these for the past half-hour. Made more during this period than I have in the last month on cricket betting.

What price did England hit when they were 3 fa?
Could have got 1.02. A very small amount was matched on 1.03.
