Newzealand batting is genuinely underskilled, especially to negotiate the spin, 300 is a big score for them West Indies batting is on the up, and on a typical WI track, batting first 370 runs in first innings and 300 in second is achievable Match loooks like a 1200 runs game at the most, i.e.400 overs Except under two circumstances-NZ scores 400 batting first,or rain taking two or more sessions, result is on, most likey WI win
Here's a better article for you mate. http://www.timesunion.com/news/article/Tropical-Storm-Ernesto-heading-nearer... - to be honest if the winds are coming, i think they'll leave it as close as possible to 10am local time but wont risk crowd safety.

Hopefully the overnight/early morning rain is enough to see a delay in the start time of play and gives the storm time to settle in. Wouldn't count on it though.

I had all but given up on this match and thought would take the red....but woke up to a 3.7 on draw...cashed it to get a nice green on all the three..so ill get out of it with a nice profit while..that was close..!!!

the draw is drifting all the time,if yanky weather forecastors (is that even a word) are anything like british one's(fish comes to mind) they aren't really worth a tommy tank.

Gonna be touch and go. If NZ scored another 30-40 runs I'd be a bit more safe on the draw. Got $50 on the draw paying $25 though so I'm just gonna sit on it and see where it takes me.

Also a chance if NZ don't get early wickets that they may slow things down. Maybe bowl defensively and try and strike gold with the rain. It could really be that close.

Its also 500km wide which everyone seems to have missed, compare the storm system to the size of Jamacia its about 8-10 times as big, it does not need to nail it dead centre at all, its not a fxxking light shower on sunday afternoon that spoils a picnic, its a hurricane, it brings bad weather. the last weather this bad in the uk was in 1982

laying the draw could be free money but imo defo not laying it when a tropical storm is now sat approx 100km east and im not backing as very with my green

"The equation is: West Indies need 71 runs, New Zealand need six wickets. The other thing occupying West Indies cricket fans' minds over the past couple of days has been the weather, especially the progress of tropical storm Ernesto. The good news is the sun is out and the rain is staying away for now. When it does arrive, expect it to wipe out huge amounts of play. Anyway, we probably need another two hours of play to settle this Test, right now the storm threat looks silly, as fans are greeted by blue skies and just a few wispy clouds"

Chanderpaul is such a selfish player, his boys need 42 with 6 wickets and he is defending to keep his not out status in tact, the boy needs a slap or made to retire and let a real man come in and finish the weak Kiwi's off and let me count my dollar bills.

what fun this was one was. Came out several hundred pounds worse off but enjoyed the movement and tussle with the weather - more than made up for it on the ENG v SA game by backing the draw at the start

karl - defence is EXACTLY what the WI needed - without SC in the side a few wickets could have gone early today and might have been an NZ win - that's how key he is.

They weathered the initial storm, Roach made the runs needed to take the pressure off and still now with only 11 needed, SC is still blocking and only driving defensively- Does ne still need to defend and what is the purpose - To protect his strike rate and average ...That is very selfish to me

6 needed with 5 wickets remaining and he still is leaving and blocking. This is against the worst bowling attck I have ever seen after the Bangladeshis

nice result for me in that test , that hurricane panic suited my sort of trades to a tee ...I wish every test match had the threat of a hurricane !! I literally watched the draw contract from 25.0's to 4.8 in front of my very eyes in the space of less than about 3 minutes ...sunday morning at about 9.35 am GMT, never seen a 'post stumps/not in-play' weather crash like that was insane

Nicky - was it triggered by large block trades or a flurry of small trades? Where were the bookies prices at the time? I imagine there were some tasty arbs to be had.

Nige ....just many backs of the draw in a short space of time , smashed off the board...windies drifted from 1.15ish to 1.4x at the time of the crash Baldies were going 28 to 1, 365 were also 28's(but suspended pretty quick), laddies were 16's , bills were going 10's, sky the same... don't even know if ernesto did hit after all , anyone know ?

My countries local bookie didn't change the odds from $25 for about an hour! Could've arbed it big time! Wasn't 100% sure if my bet would stand though so sat on the miracle. Would love to know what weather did end up coming for future reference. About now the storm should be in full effect! The outfield near the boundaries looked very soft yesterday.
