Market thinks that wickets are important, but they are not if the team batting continues to score at a rate of 9 an over.

180 well on now. was starting to look a dead duck until that over but now that over followed by this very decent Bopara one (all be it a wicket falling) should bring hopefully see it come in

ok that is true cardinal !! if this is a flat pitch, just look at the batting order of essex , very strong battting line up
at 110 from 13 overs, they were heading for around 170. Now they seem to be scoring more than 170, but they are 30 ticks bigger 
just 2 fours in the essex first overs , and essex will be on the board for sure
175 is the average score at this ground and today of all days its a batsman's paradise. 10 short of a winning score in my view.
why so sure, Essex have a very strong batting line up, i'd say it'll be very close. ball was racing away well enough, maybe fairly slow pitch but flat enough. Not a massive score really, i'd fancy Essex will be within 5 runs.

Essex win this imo. No Kirby for Somerset, and having the 2 spinners will hurt them imo. Essex bat deep and the pitch is a blinder - every chance of chasing this.

My instinct was that Franklin was run out but I'm not sure how an umpire can seemingly give someone run out on the basis of a stump camera. How can he tell precisely when the bails come off?

Essex always seem to bat like it's their first ever 20 over match. No discernable plan or tactics.
Usually when I'm Red I blame myself but on this occasion I blame Total Incompetence from Essex...........disgusting performance from them with the bat!
