Batting - aussies edge over english
Bowling - English edge over aussies

I think the firepower in australian team and their ability to score quicker in powerplays could favour them as the both sides look equal in other departments...

am on aussies to start with....ur views??

This late onslaught means aus will have a severe test in the chase against top quality bowlers!

Another invisible wicket has been taken.
Report d13phe June 29, 2012 3:18 PM BST
he hasn't impressed here Kieswetter

Buttler is better for this role in the middle order
Report lastchance June 29, 2012 3:19 PM BST
massive over !!!!
Report d13phe June 29, 2012 3:19 PM BST
chance of a Morgan 100 here is he gets the strike for 3/4 balls in the last over
Report d13phe June 29, 2012 3:20 PM BST
ffs kieswetter

he has cost them about 20 runs here
Report jonty87 June 29, 2012 3:21 PM BST
Bad captaincy by Clarke using Watson in the final overs.
Report LimEs June 29, 2012 3:21 PM BST
Invisible wicket has been reviewed and given not out.
Report jonty87 June 29, 2012 3:22 PM BST
2 sixes to get to his 100. C'mon Morgan!
Report Biscuit1979 June 29, 2012 3:22 PM BST
Don't know enough about up and coming players but does that Hales who did well in the T20 last week not have a shout of getting in the one day side?
Report d13phe June 29, 2012 3:23 PM BST
incredible innings this again

put his team in a strong position
Report DStyle June 29, 2012 3:24 PM BST
far too many attempts at T20 batting from kieswetter.

moving around in his crease and clearing his front leg.

needs to stay still, he's at his best hitting down the ground and through the covers.
Report lastchance June 29, 2012 3:24 PM BST
need to get warner early to put pressure on bailey wade and smith
Report d13phe June 29, 2012 3:25 PM BST
on the other hand absolutely useless from Kieswetter
Report Biscuit1979 June 29, 2012 3:25 PM BST
Aussies still favourites?
Report Cardinal Scott June 29, 2012 3:26 PM BST
Market looks wrong to me Eng are clear faves coz i believe Aus will come out and Fiddle About for 10 overs!
Report Red Jam June 29, 2012 3:26 PM BST
5.5/over against this eng attack looks a tough ask
All test match bowlers. Should be fun to watch
Report DStyle June 29, 2012 3:26 PM BST
and besides with morgan set as he was, rotating the strike was enough. SR of less than hundred is all down to his being overambitious and thinking he was facing a county attack and not brett lee.
Report Darlo Bantam June 29, 2012 3:27 PM BST
Oz are favourites why?
Report Darlo Bantam June 29, 2012 3:27 PM BST
Apart from the obvious manipulators trying to keep it that way.
Report Red Jam June 29, 2012 3:27 PM BST
Watson takes long to get going normally and clarke tends to play like trott.
Report d13phe June 29, 2012 3:29 PM BST
I dont understand the logic of having Kieswetter in the middle order

His whole game is setup to open

the way he bats, hits the ball and plays usually suits having the field in the circle

he doesn't have the technique to work the ball or smash it out of the ground on a consistent basis
Report Red Jam June 29, 2012 3:29 PM BST
If memory serves me Clarke. It too clever against spin either
Report maxstout June 29, 2012 3:29 PM BST
Just be careful lads...
Report d13phe June 29, 2012 3:30 PM BST
Clarke one of the best players on spin in world cricket

your memory is wrong Grin
Report cnman June 29, 2012 3:30 PM BST
Aus far too short here. wicket of either watson or warner will cause a lot of panic i think. Aus' tail also looks pretty weak 8-11
Report Red Jam June 29, 2012 3:50 PM BST
Cheers d13. Seen him in ipl and he takes a while to get going
Report Alf Awoody June 29, 2012 4:05 PM BST
Clarke moves his feet against spin better than just about anyone in the world.

Report Wildone June 29, 2012 4:58 PM BST
england must be weak if aussies are favouritesLaugh
Report maxstout June 29, 2012 5:07 PM BST
Aus needed around 5.5 runs an over. They are running at 5 runs an over with only one wicket down. That's mainly why they are favourites although the fall of a wicket or two in the near future with turn things around...
Report Cardinal Scott June 29, 2012 5:09 PM BST
Very Reliable Swanny! sub 1.5 on Aus Crazy not for me there not!

England need to use a 6th bowler here! Bopara maybe!
Report Cardinal Scott June 29, 2012 5:16 PM BST
Ah Bopara was brought on when I making my chicken and vegetable soup!

Game still Finely Balanced but of course market has to favour Aus with all those wickets in hand!..............

hmmm can't as bad as the odds having oz fav would suggest as i saidLaugh
Report scliffor June 29, 2012 10:35 PM BST
I'm not saying there is a gaping chasm between the teams, but surely this is the worst Australian ODI team for years.

I read Watto's comments before the match about how Wade was a much better no 7 than Bresnan and how clearly this meant that England didn't have enough batting, presumably he hadn't spotted who the Oz no 6 was. I'm not sure Smith would even get into any England team of the 90s.
Report mafeking June 29, 2012 11:15 PM BST
mike hussey obviously leaves a big hole but what are they thinking batting steve smith at 6 ? he'd bat 8 at best in the england line up. never a front line batsman in a million years
