Butt,I don't recall you being there yesterday when the majority of us were loaded up on Bangalore and expecting a Delhi side to get nowhere near a large total. Let's just say that, after a while, our fingernails didn't need cutting with scissors.

Yes, very slow, but still loaded up on Deccan having partially covered for the 'unexpected'.
Seen it too many times, that chases like this going at this pace, you end up needing 12 or so off the final over. Which could go over way.

And the apparent failure to score boundaries is likely to mean the rrr exceeding six an over which in turn means boundaries are required hence more drama.

im not saying they will rumo, but take csk the other day for example they needed less than a run a ball, and ended up needing a 6 off the last ball to win.

I don't really buy into these conspiracy theories. All im saying is that too many times in low scoring run chases, the chasing side end up needing to go a bit berserk at the end to get over the line.

My interpretation of this match was not that any particular team was destined to win at the outset but, in spite of the added drama, the fact that so many runs were scored by Deccan in the early stages of the run chase meant that their winning was virtually cast in stone at that stage - in spite of subsequent deflections which indicated the contrary.
