Any good sports betting or general trading books that might be worth a read for a pro trader such as myself.
Need some holiday reading for when i'm in the Maldives spending my latest IPL winnings and not looking at my fit girlfriend's t*ts.

Nothing to do with Cricket but 'New Market Wizards' has some good financial trading stories which you can relate to if you're a sports trader, kept me occupied when I wasn't staring at your gf's t*ts anyhow

Have you read The Perfect Punter by Dave Farrrar? Just started it myself and enjoying it so far.

The title has great potential but the content disappoints. Dave Farrar drifts from sport to sport with no sense or logic. He doesn't get anywhere near the heart of the topic before ending the chapter and starting all over again with a new sport. Skip a chapter (you will!) and you won't miss a thing. Gambling has a great knack of tugging at the heart strings and emotions. The ups and downs, the tension, the joy or despair. None of those are captured here in any form. As has been mentioned you won't learn anything about gambling here. Reasons for Dave's bets come in the form of emails or conversations with friends. I'm a big fan of gambling related books and own more than I care to admit to friends, but this is one I won't be re-visiting. Boring and tedious. Unfortunately. |
