Conditions If-Pitch- Seamer friendly, overcast conditions,lanka bowling first,Lanka have the edge becuase of M the S,If M the S does his magic, game Lanka, however if M is ineffective India can make 270 but still will be very close game as India does not have M the S to defend 270 If lanka bats first in above conditions,they can make 270 and defend it becuase of better pace attack If Spin friendly, Sub continent like conditions,India wins becuse M the S becomes ineffective Ignore the batting |

All over India here - think SL will be under-prepared, plus India are just a better ODI side. Also disagree with OP as I think that this India side is a better fielding unit than SL. Kohli, Raina, Jadeja, Rohit are all very good fielders. Big game for India and I think they win comfortably - big back for me at the prices.

This is Perth, remember. If Sri Lanka pick all four of Kulasekera, Perera, Malinga and Welegedera, that should be enough to expose India's continued weakness against quality pace bowling.
Of course, India might respond with Zaheer, Yadav and the Kumars, but on the evidence of the T20s and the first ODI, they're more likely to stick with their inflexible ODI tactic of packing the side with spinners. Mind you, if TV viewing figures demand an Indian win, as they did in the World Cup Final, then a win will no doubt be what they get. |
