be nice if they reconsider and do the track events as a test, maybe if a few people nag them?

just the 3 sec advantage on analogue was a godsend.....

not many still have it, make the most while you can

Dear Stephen,
Thank you for your interest and your market request however we will not be offering markets for the upcoming paralympic games. The reason for this is because the paralympic games is not traditionally a betting event and due to the lack of liquidity it will generate we have decided not to offer it. |
By:
yup, think that as it's london they ought to have considered it, i suggested they donate a % point or two of the comms from any money taken to charity, went down like a lead balloon
By:
So how would you price up Oscar Pistorius for the 400 metres?
By:
He might be worth a bit if there any any precious metals in his legs.
By:
I think there is only 100m sprint in Paralympics, still would be 1.0x (coz of starting slow with his blades, isn't he fastest of all in 400, but mostly out of sight already?
By:
There are 400m events but i cant imagine that there is anyone close to him which begs the question
should someone good enough for the Olympics be able to run in the Paralympics? |
By:
How would you price up Rafa in the tennis?
By:
wheelchair tennis?

'The reason for this is because the paralympic games is not traditionally a betting event and due to the lack of liquidity it will generate we have decided not to offer it.'
but we do offer a market on the 'traditional betting event' of the next Archbishop of Canterbury (current turnover £3K) |
By:
betting on paraolympics could be a whole publicity minefield for them
By:
next archbishop is that morally right

By:
could have offered a meerkat on paralympic gold medals won by gb
they seem to be aiming for 50 shirly it is more discriminatory not to offer any markets ??? |
By:
i also note that some paralympians are included in bbc spoty market
double standards , perhaps ??? |
By:
I'd have thought they should have some medal markets. Considering some of the markets they offer in other sports that have terrible liquidity I'm sure it would be worth their while.
By:
Liquidity would be non-existent, just because they put other pointless markets up doesn't justify putting up any paralympic events
By:
L*dbrokes have some markets up for GB medal totals, may be worth a few quid on the higher totals. GB has largest team and is one of the few countries in the world to take this seriously. Expect total domination in track cycling given that they train with the Olympic team.
By:
betfair should offer markets, they would take more liquidity then some of their silly markets, make it up as they go along, like stopping in running markets on live dogs although horses & american sports are alot further behind real time.
By:
What are Betfair up to - we realise that a lot of events are uncompetitive but let's at least have markets for the events the Brits have a chance in. Discrimination surely.
By:
Some markets are up. Did they really have to call them "specials"?? I would to see a Market for how many gb golds personally, but at least it's a start.
