That was the most fun I had from sport ever. It's made me cheer, it's made me happy and excited and it's made me shed a few tears of joy and sorrow. Somehow, going back to the daily drudge of horse racing isn't enough.........

There'll be 2-3 days of minor depression.

But believe me there'll barely be an 'Olympics' type thread on any forum in a weeks time

Just pleased I got there for some Athletics and Basketball. I'd be disappointed if I'd missed out.

was a great couple of weeks but it never fails to surprise how quickly these things fade away. in three months most gb public wont be able to recall half a dozen of their gold medal winners. seen some criticism of certain gb medal winners looking to exploit their success but who can blame them. their window of opportunity will be very short and things will move on very quickly.

They deserve to exploit their success, as they trained for 2 years to win 1 or 2 gold medals, our fotballers train about 3 times a week, play 60 or 120 minutes a week and get grossley overpaid for being very average. I know who I'd rather pay to listen to as an after dinner speaker, yes the olympic medalist and of course they may appear in a few adverts as well. How much will they get paid for that, about the same as a footballer does for 30 seconds training.
