The Russian bossed the fight from the first bell. He should have been a clear winner.

must a appeal, had a small bet on gvozdyk outright just incase
Report upthebumnobabies August 10, 2012 10:49 PM BST
1.02 at the bell and loses. Yet another reason that greening up or hedging is a must with Olympic Boxing.
Report mintymonster1 August 10, 2012 10:49 PM BST
shocking
Report paddletoe August 10, 2012 10:51 PM BST
As much of a shocker of a decison it was anyone backing at 1.02 at the bell would need their head looking at in view of the way the judges had scored the fight in the fight two rounds.
Report judorick August 10, 2012 10:52 PM BST
been happening all tournament

feel so sorry for the losers who miss out on medals
Report mintymonster1 August 10, 2012 10:54 PM BST

Report judorick August 10, 2012 10:56 PM BST
I have watched a few fights every night and seeen bent scoring in every session

time to kick it out sad to say
Report book August 10, 2012 10:56 PM BST
greening up is a must on any boxing not just olympics
Report book August 10, 2012 10:57 PM BST
could still be turned around with their appeal
Report paddletoe August 10, 2012 11:00 PM BST
what happens for betting purposes if a result is reversed on appeal
Report freeze_the_secret August 10, 2012 11:02 PM BST
Costs $500 to appeal
Report book August 10, 2012 11:03 PM BST
there is an appeal thats why the outright market still has all 3 in betting.
Report paddletoe August 10, 2012 11:04 PM BST
feel sorry for the russian lad but can someone please tell me what are the betting rules if a decision is over ruled as i have backed the winner.
Report book August 10, 2012 11:06 PM BST
if its turned around,i believe you will lose
Report book August 10, 2012 11:06 PM BST
back gvozdyk outright to cover yourself
Report judorick August 10, 2012 11:17 PM BST
will they rob Joshua?
Report paddletoe August 10, 2012 11:19 PM BST
would have been a riot if Joshua had that fight taken from him.
Report Darlo Bantam August 10, 2012 11:19 PM BST
BF paid out on Joshua match already but not the Italian that preceeded it. Was there an appeal there?
Report mintymonster1 August 10, 2012 11:19 PM BST
thought he won by four in last round
Report paddletoe August 10, 2012 11:20 PM BST
There could be no grounds for an appeal in the other semi final. Close enough fight but Italian fully deserved to win.
Report Darlo Bantam August 10, 2012 11:21 PM BST
Paid out about two minutes later.
Report paddletoe August 10, 2012 11:22 PM BST
How often is that a fight is over turned on appeal. Surely they cant over turn subjective judging and there would need to be some mix up in the scoring.
Report freeze_the_secret August 10, 2012 11:24 PM BST
You must be paid out on the result on the night, subsequent appeals are irrelevant for betting purposes I would have thought.
Report paddletoe August 10, 2012 11:30 PM BST
the appeals in amateur boxing will be dealt with immediately so its not the same as pro boxing i would have thought where appeals can take a lot longer and bets cant be reversed so long afterwards.
Report freeze_the_secret August 10, 2012 11:36 PM BST
So why arn't the match odds still open?
Report paddletoe August 10, 2012 11:37 PM BST
all is well now. My bet has just been settled.
Report Markphisto August 10, 2012 11:41 PM BST
You got lucky Paddletoe.....shocking decision which should have been overturned on appeal

Report freeze_the_secret August 11, 2012 12:01 AM BST
An appeal has indeed been lodged, source AIBA.
Report Jay23 August 11, 2012 12:05 AM BST
Anyone clued up on the rules of the match odds?  I have been 'mugged' for just short of a k on this 'FIX'  whats the score if its overturned?
Report freeze_the_secret August 11, 2012 12:07 AM BST
Betfair settled on the result tonight, should be no different anywhere else.
Report nicky27 August 11, 2012 12:33 AM BST
yeah freeze , it does clearly say in the rules , that any subsequent amendment to the result won't affect settlement
Report Areyoutalkintome? August 11, 2012 12:43 AM BST
Boxing
All individual bout markets will be settled according to the official result of the relevant governing body immediately after the end of the fight, regardless of any subsequent disqualification or amendment to the result (except if an amendment is announced within 24 hours of the initial settlement of the relevant market in order to correct an error in tallying the points or in order to correct an error in reporting the result).

I placed a cheeky bet on Gvozdyk just before he removed from the outright market, would my wager be reinstated?
