Obviously not rocket science. But bolt should be 1.1 max for 200m. 100m showed he has got his mix just right and peaking for Olympics. Blake used his power up to peak for the trails.

blake stopped last night and was just over 20 secs, he must have a serious chance of beating bolt.

I'd love to see a WR but the new 'instant disqualification' rule probably means athletes stay in their blocks a touch longer.  Definitely plenty left in the locker from UB though!

I remeber MJ posing holding his gold shoes next to the Atlanta scoreboard saying 19.32!  UB will surely beat that again.

Blake PB is 19.26
I wouldnt say that Blake isnt capable of running below 19.3
I thnik that Bolt has to do WR to beat Blake

Yer he ran fast once (must have had double juice that day), but nothing even close after that. 19.78 next best. Most top athletes run faster when no pressure. That's why they look so easy in qualifying..

Blake did 20.01 yesterday despite grinding to an almost complete halt, so he's definitely in the sort of form to beat his personal best. I wouldn't read too much into the fact that his second fastest time is so many tenths away from his pb - he's working towards this being his fastest time of all.

I suspect UB's got even more in reserve though. I expect him to make good on his promise to break 19 seconds, and that ought to be enough for gold. At the prices, I think it's about fair value. Maybe UB should be just a few ticks shorter, but this is short enough, so no bet for me. Just sit back and enjoy...

they way bolt ran the second 100m in the semi's yesterday suggests there's a lot more to come in the finals.

I really cannot see Blake breaking 19.5! Peaked too soon to grab a bit of bolts thunder (no pun). Bolt gets his cocktails right for the olympics.

Don't see any sign that Blake has peaked too soon. He's looked very easy in 200m qualifying.  But I expect Bolt to be faster still.
