This is a couple of years old but I've never seen it before. Some sports boffin reckons Bolt could jump over 10.5m! The current world record is 8.95m and the winning distance at this Olympics was only 8.31m.
Oh my goodness. Now obviously the reason Bolt doesn't do it is it's far too risky for him, you're more likely to be injured long jumping than sprinting and there's no real money in it either.
If I was an oil rich Arab Sheikh, I'd offer him 100million dollars to come to my country and smash the long jump world record. Surely he'd be up for that.
We need to see this happen ffs. 10.5 metres!

i was thinking the same thing, given his speed, surely he wins the long jump. 1.0000000000000000000001 imo
Heard Bolt's top speed in the 100m WR in 2009 was actually slower than Gay's in that race. Bolt just reaches and maintains speed better.
if it's all about speed down the runway i assume he would also be able to throw the javelin about 120 metres
Could also beat Mo Farah by about 10 mins in the 10,000m
Your talking around a 20% increase so when he can run the 100 metres in 8 seconds he may have a chance providing he is as good at jumping as well as running. What a ridiculous thread
I'd give u any odds you wanted that he could jump 10.5m, nonsense
once he gets selected for man utd, and learns the art of diving, 10.5 might be in danger

To be fair Franny Lee could do that horizontal if he was 10 metres outside the box to win a penalty back in the 70's.
