irishone does have a point here I believe. Since the Olympics started the BBC News seems to start off with coverage of the days events in London (despite it having been on the box for the previous 10 hours across the multitude of channels, internet etc) with other world events stuffed at the end. I watched the news the other night and after the Olympic coverage it managed to slip in the humanitarian disaster happening in Syria. Also (don't take this the wrong way) but last night it had ages of coverage on the shootings in the USA Seikh thingy as if a shooting in America was a rare occurrence and there weren't any more pressing matters in the world than a nutter with a gun shooting a handful of people.
