Spanish interviewer stood in silence
BBC guy just carried on just there when it happened again |

Idiot BBC interviewer, no respect. Bolt showed class there, wish the BBC interviewer had tried to talk to Bolt while that was going on he would have been put firmly in his place.
|
|
By:
I suspect the BBC was told he had to get on with it as Bolt has 50 odd other interviews in that mix zone. Not his fault, but shouldn't happen.

when the Beeb was a top class broadcaster, they'd stop talking for every medal ceremony and every anthem, doing interviews during them is logical next step in the coverage.
No coverage of decathlon tonight either - too many talking heads not enough action. |

the 17 year old kid who came 3rd knew he should observe protocol for the Kenyan anthem but man in his fifties did n't care.

bolt took too long on his lap of honour, maybe they were running out of air time?
|
|
By:
no excuse - record the interview and screen it later

That interview guy is a **** I've seen that 1st hand.

They never used to interview competitors like that so have never had to stop. I don't know that they have ever showed every medal ceremony or that they stopped an interview when they were going on - any interviewer would carry on as you only have a set time to get it over with as well.
|
|
By:
yes they did - I've been watching since Moscow 1980 - the first World Championships in Helsinki in 1983 was covered brilliantly, wall to wall, all the medal ceremonies and anthems.
I was in the stadium on Monday, spectators are asked to be upstanding for the National Anthems. Why should he be any different? Do you think it would have happened if the medal ceremony was for a British Gold Medal? There's your answer. |

By:
Funny that they just showed Bolt's medal ceremony.

Sounds more like a lack of respect for the Spanish TV interviewer

I thought it was the Anthem from Kenya he respectfully stopped for ?..........

He did it for both, for the US anthem from a couple of nights ago and also for Rudisha's ceremony last night. Top guy!
