His contender the French beated him in the 2011/2012 World Championship in Melbourne, Keni was second. in the European Championships last year in Apeldoorn Holland he was 4Th, there is some kind of euphoria with the british ciclyng team, and most of bf users are british, so if you see the drift the Worl Champio the French George Bauge, from 1,5 winnings odd, to 3 now, he is in the semifinal.... there shows the euphoria Keni is faster but sprint is strategy, and the french is more experienced and he was better many times than kenny, he was the obvious favorite before al this euphoria....any comment wellcome

It's Jason Kenny.
The British have won every gold so far apart from the Omnium and the women's team sprint (which would have been gold if not for a slight mistake leading to dq). Kenny was selected above Hoy for this race for a reason. He has the speed and enough experience. |

Second in the World Champs this last one, and 4th in Europen, he is faster against the clock, but sprint is just strategy 80%..... guess who was 1,5 for gold medal before the euporia... Same happens with the odds in sprint between Pendletton an Meares, in my opinion Pendelton is favorite but see Meares evolution, he is not a 5 to 1 he is 3 to 1 against Penddelton, thats a lot of overpaying

Look at hte Qualfying times too tight for that advantage in odds, as i said Sprint is a strategy run, where is better to be faster....

80% strategy? What a load of nonsense.
Kenny was selected over Hoy because British Cycling rate him as the best chance for gold and they do not get many things wrong on the track. They would not have made the decision based on one race. I have no idea why Bauge's odds were so low, but the current ones look far more representative now. You might be right that Kenny is too low, but I doubt it's by much. |

you can watch both races in Melbourne Bauge did not need the third, easy 2-0.......have the link....i would give the odds inversed would be more fare, or 1,7 Bauge....but Pendelton is the same....

Gnome, spot on. I agree Bauge is the only serious danger, but he is a one-trick pony; like a horse with one sharp turn of pace his potency can be neutralised by a long sprint for home. Think Kenny will win, but wouldn't lay the Frenchman at 3. He's very cool temperamentally and a physical beast.

The Brits have won every event except the Omnium (got a bronze, comedy event anyway) and the womens team sprint where they got DQ and would have won
pretty much winning everything and there is every chance Kenny will beat Bauge... and you want to lay him? |

I obviously follow ciclyng and understand a little made some money today in the Mens Omnium just laying irrational bets backing the british contender Clancy specially in the last two races, where it was a matter of maths and knwoledge, i did not hear the british tv comentors, but they should be giving false ilusion in the retransmision, as all sports comentors do... but lot of people did not uderstand the comeptition and it was not well explained or honestly comented to them....

well in my opinion what looks real irrational is giving in a strategy race as Sprint and odds of 200 and 60 to 1 to the other two semifinalist, are the riding without wheels, they may be a little slower but, in a strategy race, the little edge could be the moment of strike 200 to 1, this is not 100 m running of Bolt, you dont know when the race starts, and if you get your conteder wheel at the correct tiem you have the race......even Cavendish get tricked often and that is a real monster, the difference is so slight that 200 to 1 is a joke
