It is white people who feel inferior on the track. I was rooting for Mo Farah of course but seeing Galen Rupp get silver was one of the highlights of the games as it showed that white athletes still have a chance in endurance events if the temperature is down to London levels. The dominance of North African runners was not total after all.

Great point there Sageform. It would be great for the sport in general if events were held in a more temperate climate. It has been fantastic seeing athletes being able to compete without collapsing, exhausted, due to the heat.
