For aslong as I can remember they have no interest in showing live field events, surely Rutherford's jump is more important than a heat of the Heptathlon for instance?
Instead we have to wait around for 10 minutes to have any idea of whats going on

It should be, but Ennis is the golden girl. No problem showing her, but his 3rd jump was when the previous heats of the Heptathlon were going on that nobody cares about

it is at least equal and he deserves as much coverage
plus I would like to see the competition and drama unfold within the context, not by watching the dedicated channel... poor gregs nerves |

The biggest bonus to these olympics has been the dedicated channels, ive barely had BBC1/2 on. Usually in the field events somebody hits 1.01 and the BBC pass it off as live or a 'short time ago' 15 minutes later

Wouldn't surprise me if they stuck with the 10,000 for the duration and then showed Rutherford had won

BBC have just gone back to the longjump from the 10,000 metres, so hopefully they will show Greg

it was on and on the bbc website, all as live as possible.
