Bit of a disappointment overall. Not great in 400m hurdles, and didn't look that great in 400m relay tonight.

over confidence
Report RonnieReagan August 13, 2012 12:46 PM BST
are armchair fat people insulting someone coming 4th in an Olympic track final, the most competitive of all Olympic events, after an injury hampered season?

are these the people moaning about traffic jams and empty seats, when there was precious little of either?

god, what a show.  what a performance from Team GB.  EPIC.

Feel really sad for Greene, who along with Ennis and Farah, I had as one of GB's best medal chances in athletics. He peaked last year for the Worlds, just didn't look match fit last week and it just shows the dividing line if you've had a relatively recent niggling injury. Phillips Idowe as well. If both were 100% they'd have not been out of the medals. That lost them the 4 X 400 men's as well. Rooney was only a couple of lengths down from bronze. Imagine if Greene had been in tip top condition.

must be remembered he ran a PB a few weeks before the Olympics, a time that would have got him a medal in the final, so it could be concluded that he peaked too soon and was on the down slope by the time the olympics arrived

said himself he didn't feel right

guess it can happen, mistimed his training schedule

Bob Beamon and Japanese Fighting Man Richard call it right.

Margins are tight.

To express on a forum it might be over confidence, in the lung busting 400m hurdle of all races is ludicrous.  do they really think the boy got in the final thinking "this is easy, i can piss it" and jogged round.

he looked all out at the end.
