British team tactics yet again in an individual event.  Hall is not trying to win herself but is taking someone else's place in the team who may have tried to.
Report judorick August 4, 2012 10:56 AM BST
no GB medal in this today
Report the swede August 4, 2012 11:03 AM BST
who won? Got Norden laid at 1,01 for 15 K SEK there
Report pauliow August 4, 2012 11:03 AM BST
Fantastic race and finish though
Report pauliow August 4, 2012 11:04 AM BST
Spirig given it

Laid Norden for plenty of chunky odds-on when they're prattling on about dead-heats,
but the computer showing her in 2nd

Nice green even if it is a dead heat
Report canaryboy August 4, 2012 11:04 AM BST
1.01 smashed on norden

nearly 4K matched Shocked
Report dlarssonf August 4, 2012 11:04 AM BST
brilliant race
Report the swede August 4, 2012 11:05 AM BST
was cheering for my country girl the whole race. but my pocket hopes for spirig now ;)
Report Poppydog. August 4, 2012 11:05 AM BST
Unless of course Bf void the last 15 secs of the market after they'd finished
Report DonNo1 August 4, 2012 11:05 AM BST
That's dead heat
Report Poppydog. August 4, 2012 11:08 AM BST
In Olympian spirit it should be both Golds, but the on-screen times clearly showed a 1st and 2nd,
well after the finish. Commentators going on about DHeat meant a lot of market confusion
Report the swede August 4, 2012 11:08 AM BST
i hope spirig won but would love an inplay market now.
Report Poppydog. August 4, 2012 11:10 AM BST
Norden last matched 1.35
Spirig last matched 1.40

Perhaps they ought to have a race off like the swimmers do. Ha Ha
Report paddletoe August 4, 2012 11:10 AM BST
The replay seemed to clearly show Sprig had her chest infront.
Report pauliow August 4, 2012 11:11 AM BST

Doubt it.
Same time to 100th of a second

Report DonNo1 August 4, 2012 11:13 AM BST
Bullshit decision
Report pauliow August 4, 2012 11:13 AM BST
I layed Jenkins at 2.22 so dont mind who won
Report paddletoe August 4, 2012 11:13 AM BST
Dutched Sprig at 8/1 and Noris at 5/1 when there were four in the breakaway at about 2km to go. At that stage the bookies had the aussie a 1/2 shot despite the other two girls having the best finishes.
Report DonNo1 August 4, 2012 11:15 AM BST
Just show the photo again ffs, some of the TV production has been appalling this Olympics

Report larrence August 4, 2012 11:18 AM BST
i reckon kenenisa bekele will beat farah later, he has such a devasting finishing kick. Wink
Report Escobar. August 4, 2012 11:19 AM BST
Norden accepted silver medal. all done. betfair can pay out to us winners now.
Report paddletoe August 4, 2012 11:20 AM BST
i would win a small bit more on a joint first but i thought sprig clearly won even if it was by the smallest of margins. Noren seemed to hot the line first with her legs but sprigs chest hit the line first.
Report Escobar. August 4, 2012 11:20 AM BST
paid out Cool
Report the swede August 4, 2012 11:21 AM BST
great race. 1,01 beat ;)
Report paddletoe August 4, 2012 11:23 AM BST
From a purely sporting point of view i think a joint first would have been best in a race over such a long distance.
Sprig still gets her gold and surely a joint gold is not much difference from an outright gold when compared with the difference between silver and gold for norden.
Report DonNo1 August 4, 2012 11:25 AM BST
Thought the markings on Sprigigs outfit was Norden's chest but sadly not, correct decision Cry
Report yorky August 4, 2012 11:52 AM BST
I blame them too pesky kids who put up that yard of paper on finishing line

the initial times shown were not to 100th of a second, they were in hrs, mins and seconds, so it was same to the second
