Olympics 2012

Is it indicative of our nation or just a lot of people who post on here that we cannot acknowledge and be proud of the achievements of our Olympic sporting heroes. So many times after a medal has been won we get some sad characters on here trying to belittle the athlete or rubbish the event. The comments probably come from folks who have achieved nothing in their own lives and have no idea of the work effort and dedication needed to even be at the games.

I have to admit I had no interest in it but have been off all week feelling rough so have watched loads.
My opinions have completely changed, I've really enjoyed it and will be watching as much of it as I can until the end. I think the people you refer to probably see the highlights and as you say don't realise all the hard work behind the scenes. |
