I think the rules are for the Olympics that the gold medal winner is the person or team who receives the medals on the podium, even if there is later a change in winner. For example, Ben Johnson would have been deemed the winner of the 100m in 1988.
So on this occasion, Germany, since it was cleared up quickly. Were China to put in a complaint and the result be overturned, Germany would remain the winner in terms of this market. |

Correct - relevant rule:
" Where there is a presentation ceremony, markets will be settled on the result of the relevant governing body at the time of the ceremony, regardless of any subsequent disqualification or amendment to the result. As a customer courtesy we may choose to settle prior to the presentation ceremony. However we reserve the right to re-settle in accordance with our rules and regs." |

a shame to invent such ridiculous artificial disciplines to the program and drop traditional events like points race, Madison and even individual pursuit

I think it's fair to say there must be some people who've done their balls on that one then. And Germany must be the luckiest gold medal winners of any event so far.

every olympics i've bet on here there have been at least a couple of market shockers, we've already had a few instances of reversed decisions, dodgy reffing etc and we have yet to get a false start dq of a fav which is bound to come
