Good to see the sailing for a change, used to get 5 mins on the highlights show. The Dane looks the business.
By:
Ainslie really struggling now
By:
Bad day, can disregard the 12th but can't afford another poor placing
By:
Constantly chasing every race, slipping away from Ainslie
By:
What's stopped this Ainslie era of Olympic domination Don? Is it bad weather, better sailors or mistakes?
By:
I am in the positio where, after a massive messe up bet (had ainslee bet open playing with odds, opened new page to make a seperate bet on another sport and it submitted both), that i hope he loses :/
By:
Bit of all 3. Conditions not ideal, the Dane is sailing a blinder and Ainslie has started to force it as a result
By:
know nothing about sailing but you'd think knowledge of home conditions prevailing winds etc would be massive in this sport
By:
Ainslie is Hogh's bitch

By:
Can still recover, double points in last race
By:
Ainslie leading and Dane just capsized
![]() |
By:
Fascinating race I suspect with Ainslie ahead of the Dane for the first time except the BBC have shown the 470 tailenders then the crowd on the shore then 470 highlights then the crowd again. What a **** up.
By:
There's 24 channels, of which only about 10 are in use atm, surely we can get 2 different sailing ones on
Ainslie won though and Hogh 8th which opens things up a bit |
By:
ainslie went ahead in the betting slightly, I am tempted to lay him now
By:
Gap down to 3, top effort after getting a penalty. If he can get 2 points back tomorrow then it's a shootout on Sunday
By:
Is the star pretty much wrapped up would you say?
By:
Looking very good but there is an 11th on the card which is currently discarded, if they had a bad race tomorrow then it could knock us back a bit. And then the medal race is double points so not all over
By:
Here we go. Ainslie fuming last night, sounds like the Danish sailor may have bull****
By:
Ainslie 4 back now but salvaged hopes on that last leg
By:
What a sail that was, all down to the medal race now, should be a great battle
By:
Yea amazing skills. We know Ainslie can finish these, Dane under pressure
By:
does ben just need to beat him to win? tia
By:
Yes
By:
Yep, assuming they don't come near the back and the Dutch guy wins
By:
thanks guys
By:
Here we go
By:
How long will the race last lads, gonna watch the Tennis and flick over near finish.
By:
The Dane has beaten him 7 out of 10 so far ,fair play to him if he manages to win.
By:
Looking good so far but so did the Star class.
By:
The British commentators seem so blinkered to assume GB are always going to win.
Knowing our luck Ben will hit an iceberg and sink. |
By:
Thought all the Icebergs had melted nowdays.
By:
Yeh wykhamist, I like the comms but they're hugely biased
By:
Well maybe an unexploded WW2 mine then
By:
Yep the great dane laid a couple last night
By:
Close but should be able to shut him out from here
By:
Why go for the head to head when earlier he was well ahead of the Dane ?
By:
I don't like the way this is going much now. The Dane is catching up.
By:
On a lighter note, there are some cracking birds in this sailing, BBC Shirley Robinson in particular

Fascinating tactics ,I think I'm starting to understand it.
