She swam faster tonight than when she won in China .  Fair play to her , should do better in the 800 .

Bronze medal in her less strong event is pretty damn good. She was 2.25 seconds down on the first two at the 300m split, and made up almost a second in the final 100m. If it had been another 100m there's every chance she would have won, so it bodes well for the 800m.

Someone should get that moron Frankie Boyle and make him an offer he can't refuse

So in her secondary event, she beats her winning time from 2008 and gets a bronze medal and the OP thinks it's worthless.

The BBC have got some real morons commentating on the Games. Claire Balding is a class act, many of the others are either inherently rubbish or well past their sell-by date (the anchor for the Road Race being a case in example - "oh it's the Dutchman, no it's the Norwegian, no it's the Dane", or "I haven't seen Boonen at all" despite the fact he'd sat right behind the Brits for most of the race).
