Hey CB - how come you're on about the Olympics, but we never see you on the Specials forum these days?

morning stu. The Olympics has always been my fave betting event but its only once every 4 years. Aug 2008 was my biggest winning month ever which helps
Before any PC too but tbh most of my betting won't be on here so shouldn't be too big a deal. I've had 19 bets so far and there is some amazing value out there imo which unfortunately I'm keeping to myself. I love the Olympics (I could probably recount 80%-90% of GB gold medals going back to 1980. It would be nearer 100% but for the last 3 Olympics where we've won a few too many) and I dislike Big Brother (which I purely suffer to earn wonga) so in an Olympic year there's no question where my priorities lie. Further, my last employment ended in September 2002. The end of the Olympics will approximate to a 10 year slog gambling. That's a long time to keep being motivated and dealing with the pressure and cr@p that comes with the territory and tbh a lot of my motivation over the last 18 months has been about getting to this point and this event. Psychologically for me I feel it's a tipping point in my life to more free time, less gambling and less pressure. I think i've got sufficient finacial resources now to take things a little bit easier. |

It'a a pity there's no betting on who will carry the GB flag at the Opening Ceremony anymore. I had a couple of fancies at very big prices indeed...Kath Grainger and Sarah Stevenson (who wasnt even quoted). So I'll stick them up here for kudos only.

Fair play on all that, sounds like a slog as you say! I don't know whether I'm fortunate or unfortunate that I don't rely on betting for a living and still have paid employment. My job isn't the worst in the world though it has it's stresses, but I briefly only made money from betting several years ago and found it extremely stressful. I'm sure changes like PC have only made that more so for many!
I've also eased of my focus on specials a bit since a few years back - there is money there, but it's time consuming. |

"Shooting at a target 70 m away with a bow that weighs nearly 30 lb. is hard enough. Try doing it when you can hardly see the target. Im Dong Hyun, 26, is legally blind but says he shoots by feel, and he has managed to become the second-ranked archer in the world."
Reminds me of the film Blind Fury |

Good run by Adam Gemili to win the WYC in 10.05 secs. Only a + 0.1sec tailwind. Will get close to making the final if he could repeat that
