I've always had a sweet tooth and continue to enjoy both of these unhealthy sweets. 
However, my slight preference would be for midget gems, they are typically harder than wine gums.

Wine gums best, saves having to locate and spit out the awfully incongruous liquorice thing if you put a few in. Without that I would choose Midget Gems.

midget gems get into my teef, so wine gums. As for fruit gums; they were & have always been, sponsored by the dental profession

No contest....Midget Gems all the way, but must be the hard ones!
Back in the day, when the office junior came round for mid morning orders, my standing order was "a quarter of Midget Gems and something for yourself".... Don't know what make they were as they were loose, but very hard.
