For my area in Somerset, the LOCAL BBC forecast this morning at 07.30 was partly cloudy with plenty of sun. The reality at the same time as the forecast was heavy low cloud, dark enough for the automatic car lights to be on, and visibility of 100 metres. Slightly better vis. now but still very dark. Surely they should be able to tell us what the weather is now even if later in the day or tomorrow is beyond them.

Our weather is so localised it's very difficult to get right for any area that's why you get such conflicting reports between services.

Weather in Carlisle is normally very easy to predict, rain if its not raining it will be later. Tomorrow will be the same as today and outlook for the rest of the week is rain
