Good afternoon, Squares. I will be here
![]() I’m never very good at these things though ![]() |

Afternoon squares, getting the brain food ready as we speak (well, beans on toast!
) |
|

The forum is taking ages to load. So I won’t be quick enough with my answers. I’ll try live view.

Oh that’s better! Right, I’m ready

You're Makybe, the load time is appalling today.

Well. we had something for breakfast that her sister says was regularly on the menu in Australia. Toast with avocado and poached egg. Delicious!
|
|
By:
Eggs & avocado is a good combo pp. My only problem with avocados is catching them at the right time - there seems to be a small window in which they are 'just right' before they start going off. (But maybe I store them wrong).

I’ve never had avocado and eggs on toast. It looks delicious but I’m not keen on avocados. I always keep frozen ones in for smoothies.

Good to see you MD
You don't need to be quick on these. There's no scoring. It's just to pass the time and get your brains teased. This one will be easy peasy after HF's quiz yesterday. |
|
By:
But surely this is 'revenge time' for some of yesterday's stinkers squares, lol
. But agreed some of yesterday's were a tad on the tortuous side ![]() |
|

Typing them up now. This may take some time!

Today's are backing bands/singers just for a slightly different spin on it and should be pretty easy as a lot of them have a one-word clue so try to name the backing band and their lead singer.
Example: Halley and Swan = Comets. Bill Haley and his Comets. 1. On the hour 2. Sought after in the kitchen 3. Midgets 4. Moe, Larry, Curly 5. Fools 6. Rotten sunflowers 7. Sirens 8. Top pair 9. Dark lovers 10. Uri Geller and his ilk 11. Put some spin on it 12. Bugs 13. Ancient rulers 14. Just a whisper 15. Bye Bye everybody, bye bye 16. Players 17. I thought Don only had one daughter 18. Hallucination Highway 19. Where are you going? OUT! SLAM 20. Pittsburgh Players 21. Mob 22. Jump on it 23. Edinburgh, Dover, Cardiff, Warwick, Leeds 24. Ahead of the pack 25. Ouch ouch 26. Games over 27. It's all gone wrong for Julian, Dick, Anne, George and Timmy 28. No longer any werewolves in London 29. Sounds of the Summer 30. Gas fires |
|

The clues only apply to the backing band, no reference to the lead singer intended.
