Surely this is the end of law and order in the US.

Cops called to driver blocking drive thru of Wendys. Arrive and Breathlyze the driver who begins to resist arrest and steals the officers taser.
After trying to escape, he turns and attempts to taser the officers who return live rounds and kill the offender

Cops should get a medal.

Instead the Democrat mayor of Atlanta calls for the cops to be terminated and the head of police has now resigned. The Wendys has since been burned to the ground.

It raises serious questions over social media especially twitter where a partial video was shared (leaving out the offenders attempt to taser the police thus creating the impression he was gunned down in the back)

Just seen this on RT.  All seemed to be going to plan until the cuffs were going on and the black guy decided to make a break for it and the camera fell to the ground, though the audio remained on.  Need to watch it again to be sure but at some stage he grabbed a taser and looked to fire it at a cop - but certainly pointed it while running away.  Shots fired but cctv didn't catch the full scene.  Some blm lawyer on after giving it billy big bolux.

My first impression?  No problem for shooting the guy.  That's how it works in the States and everyone knows that to attempt to evade arrest will result in a bullet - or several - landing in you.

Next?

The clip on tv from the Wendy's cctv carries on when it freezes in the second clip from the link.  Not sure what he had in his hand pointing at the cop.

The whole Atlanta police dept should walk out and let Keisha Lance Bottoms police the city.

It now appears if you have a black skin you can break the law with impunity. The Police and the MSM are terrified of the racist label.

Mr Brooks was supposed to take his eight-year-old daughter skating on Saturday to celebrate her birthday, lawyers for his family said.

This is the 48th officer-involved shooting the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has investigated this year, according to ABC News. Of those cases, 15 of those were fatal.

Don’t physically attack police officers or try to take their gun, and you reduce your chances of getting shot by them to practically zero.  #AtlantaShooting

Point has been missed, as ever

If you are running away from someone, you arent a live threat to them and hence don't have to be downed by gunfire

And as the police say, tasers are non lethal Plain

Yes 11kv, the only options here were to let the person running away do so or to gun them down. Good one

Would you run away from law enforcement or stand still if innocent ?

you would have thought that even the usual suspects on here might have thought it was a teeny bit overzealous to shoot a drunken man dead who was running away.

Not really relevant though is it?

Do you think that professionally trained people, who should be trained in ways to deescalate and apprehend potential criminals safely, should be able to shoot people who are fleeing or resisting arrest?

give the cop what he deserves, very brave man to shoot a drunken man in the back as he runs away.

usual suspect misses the point that the perp was sober enough to overpower 2 cops, & then manage to shoot at a cop with a taser robbed from cop whilst running with his back turned. If he'd have left the taser he might be alive now. Having said that, i've asked many times why cops don't shoot at the legs. Amazing how the 2 twàts that butchered Lee Rigby managed to escape the  Mets finest shots from close range

They think they are arguing against a narrative that noone who has been killed by police ever did anything wrong, its why they always think they have these gotchas every single time.

Didnt see this fred... Been dying to tell you guys how many fcuks I give... Not the slightest bit interested what colour Mr Brooks is, or the cop (ex cop, been fired) who shot him. That sort of behaviour gets you shot in the US... Crazy

People are burning Atlanta to the ground - while chanting f**k Donald Trump - in a city with a Democrat mayor, a Democrat city council, and a Democrat police chief.

Atlanta hasn’t had a Republican mayor since 1879.

Tell me again, what Donald Trump has to do with this?

Oprah Winfrey and other "Slebs" calling for people to get out and vote........for who Oprah? The same crew they have kept in power for 100+ years
Atlanta is not unusual in this. Chicago has not has a republican mayor since 1927 and is another murderous dump

Of course he was a live threat. You don't think lying on the ground incapicated after being hit by a tazer whilst the person who shot you with it is neaby means you aren't under threat?

Whilst they may have been over zealous lets not talk bollocks and say somebody shooting at you with a tazer they stole from you isn't a threat.

The problem is; at what point should the police have de-escalated the arrest of a DUI?
Once he resisted having handcuffs? Should they let the suspect go free, just because he`s showing physical resistance?
When they were wrestling on the ground? So rewarding even more resistance?
Once he got away from them? Meaning any criminal who escapes initial physical contact is deemed free and innocent?
Once he fired the taser? Well, the cop was within range of it, had he been hit, the suspect could have been back to him and grabbing his gun, within a second or two, leaving him free to shoot the second cop, before finishing off the incapacitated one.

With the suspect escalating matters at every step, not entirely sure I can see where the cops should have backed off.

All of the above does/would apply equally, regardless of the colour of either the suspect or the cop, race is irrelevant in this case; not, of course, that that will stop evil leftie globalists trying to make it so.

I don't think usa police shoot every escaped attempted arrest

If they did, there would be quite an outrage and lack of chase scenes in movies and TV shows.
By:
Shrewd_dude

Presumably every escaped attempt arrest doesn't involve stealing a firearm and discharging it towards the officers you are trying to escape from.
