Shamima Begum’s British citizenship should be restored because she cannot have a “fair and effective appeal” against the decision to strip her of it, the Court of Appeal has heard.

Ms Begum, now 20, travelled to Syria to join Islamic State (IS) in February 2015 and lived under its rule for more than three years.

She was stripped of her UK citizenship by then Home Secretary Sajid Javid after she was found, nine months pregnant, in a Syrian refugee camp in February last year.

Ms Begum took legal action against the Home Office at the High Court and the Special Immigration Appeals Commission (SIAC), which deals with challenges to decisions to remove British citizenship on national security grounds.

In the latest stage of the appeal, Ms Begum’s lawyers today argued that it was unlawful for the SIAC to pursue an appeal that could not be “fair and effective”.

Who is paying for this Appeal Sh1t ? hopefully not the British Tax Payer ??

This issue should not be about whether SB is a good person or bad but rather - should the country be able to just strip citizenship from bad people. Should they disavow them and just say this person is another country's problem.

Of course plenty of people will answer yes to the above questions but is it really good to set a precedent that you can just strip citizenship from bad people

She is complicit by association in mass Murder , SHE HAS NO RIGHTS IMVHO , She left this Country to Join a group intent on Killing
Innocent citizens ,Including Brits . the Right outcome would be a trial for Treason , and Hanging if found guilty ... I dont think
she woould be in such a rush to return then ..

It's very likely she would go to jail anyway upon a return anyway.

Would it be right if e.g. France refused to take back a French citizen who committed terror attacks in the UK?

Amazing how someone in syria manages to get a team of lawyers in the UK,she is almost certain to be allowed
back and if she is put on trial what evidence could be produced.
ISIS surely happy to sit quietly watching Covid and Racism tearing the west apart.

Still nobody volunteering to take the toxic clouted political puppet on - she could easily be married she's a free woman perhaps a whining PC type will be the fit as Allah's mob won't be too keen given her child rearing success rate
