I’m in favour of the destruction of idolatry that symbolises the objectification of other races, but as far as I’m concerned parody is fair game.
General observation of characteristics shouldn’t be taboo. An episode of Fawlty Towers has now been taken down because of comments about Germans I’m pretty sure the 2 Ronnies did blacked up stuff Is p1ss taking in general on the agenda, because I’ll push back on that? |

I bet they don't get rid of the office which has that scene where Gervais is saying the racist joke then the black guy walks in.

Stereotyping occurs all the time, just because it got a race handle on it shouldn’t make a difference.
What about regional dialect impersonation? Or when Frankie Boyle or Kevin Bridges rip the p1ss out of us ‘English’? I find it hilarious, I don’t vanish up my own arse ffs. |

When Chris Rock says ‘Black people are stupid man....’ isn’t that a generalisation and non specific?
Every black act I’ve ever seen has had parts derogatory to whites at some point. Going to be a pretty sterile future at this rate. |

noone was calling for any **** TV shows to go off services, wonder if it is really just the lowest grade of trying to pander

It's truly great to see 'On The Buses' still going strong on the various ITV sub-channels. Wonderfully oafish and completely unsophisticated to boot. A comedy programme that was actually FUNNY and made people LAUGH. The spin-off films were arguably even better.
Listen to these lefty pseuds having a go at it on a cringeworthy BBC Radio 4 broadcast a few weeks ago. These 'thinkers' are basically saying that unless all the characters in all comedy programmes conform to some Modern 'Progressive' (LOLOL) Leftist defined mindset, then the programmes are unacceptable. "Sexual offenders all riding around in a double-decker bus" . https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m000jg1d from around 11:51 for a couple of minutes or so. |

'Mutiny On The Buses' - the jewel in the crown.
Great to see women asserting themselves in the workplace and when off-duty. A comedy that was clearly way ahead of its time. The modern feminists would surely be proud of them. . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-y0W9JYZxng . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=er0U30QbmjM |

Not a fan of little Britain. They are panning them for various sketches. Along with harry Enfield. But they failed to point out that sketch comedians tend to play everyone. From the bin lorry driver to the queen. They put on dresses or any costume, become a character. So can I take offence if they portray any character? The handicapped wheelchair fake? The school kids. The gay vicar. The only gay in the village. They do send up everyone.
Humour is basically insane. Laurel and hatry destroy property. Harold Lloyd clings from a clock face. Norman wisdom destroys a building in one film. It's anarchy.it's absurdist. My favourite comedy is the IT crowd. It's hardly rational viewing. If everyone was respected. It would be boring. The world is a insane place. Comedy reflects that. |
