I saw a bit of 76 series in person, I wanted England to win but couldn't help but fall in love with windies team too.
I presume (or hope) our brats will have similar attitude to windies lads this year. They are champing at the bit to get back playing up here in Durham. |

Think it was my first view of Roberts holding and daniel
In the flesh. My poor leg spin was hastily remodelled and I was reborn a pace bowler,.. Well of sorts.. |

Colis King played, my mate had played against him in Yorkshire league,Murray the wicky
And padmore the spinner who probably didn't see much action that summer. Seats had recently been painted gloss blue at old Trafford and heat was causing some of it to melt, lol |

i dont think collis was in the 76 team, not 100%? , he was in the 79 final.

They added Joel garner soon after this series
|
|
By:
Pretty sure it was 76 as he hung around with greenich in first innings
Allowing them to recover to 200 ish at old Trafford |
|
By:
yes youre right , king made his debut in that test at old trafford , just googled it, another player missing from my list was bernard julien, i was wrong khanai wasnt in that series

By:
Didn't remember it was his debut,
They had some fantastically talented players in that squad Rare that any team contains so many greats |

And some of our footballers have been a bit slow
getting back to playing, although I noted Danny Rose playing for newcastle in friendly yesterday. |
