Picasso’s “Guernica” ?  No sir.

Rembrandt’s “Self Portrait” ?   Nothing so mundane.

Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” ?   You must be joking.

No. Even these priceless works surely cannot compare with the majesty and importance of this priceless virtue-signalling gem that has been lost to our nation, in this week of all weeks.

91% White Norwich will surely bear the scars of this calamity for a century or more.

Unquestionably, The Happiest News Story of the Week.

An opportunity here surely for Progressive Leftists to break Lockdown and assemble outside the house of the guilty party?

The artist, who goes by the name Knapple, said she would repaint the mural on Friday.

She said: “I think it shows a lack of compassion, understanding by the contractors, they didn’t think to query it?”

- artist? Did SHE query whether she had permission for her vandalism?

This must be the most significant "Art" tragedy since that time when Charlie The Throttler's warehouse was burned to the ground, taking such timeless works of drivel like that Modern Art Chancer woman's unmade bed with it.

Make no mistake, this Norwich "graffiti"/High Art hapless dunderhead mix-up will change our nation forever.

It's just like learning that the Library of Alexandria has burned down, moments after they'd told me to come in and collect my reservation for the lost plays of Sophocles. Yes, it's THAT serious.

Between tears of laughter, I for one am utterly inconsolable.

Do you think Norwich Council will employ a 24 hour armed guard to stand beside the graffiti when it gets repainted? Such disproportionate action would surely be wholly appropriate in teh circumstances.
By:

weird how the council covered that up but left all the actual graffiti untouched.

Who decides what is art and what is ugly graffiti? If someone dumps a lorry load of rubble in the middle of Norwich and calls it art, will it have to stay? A slippery slope.

People who agree with the artist should put their names down and request she adorns the walls of their houses with the important message.
Who wants it first?

Indeed. You won't find ANY of the nice middle-class White Progressive Lefties, Fake Cheerleaders for 'Black Lives Matter' or the Woke Idiots pretending to be outraged by the killing of George Floyd hurrying to decorate their own property with ludicrous graffiti like that.

Maybe the Government should now take the decision out of their hands, and bring in a law where all future builds will by law have "Back Lives Matter' murals adorning them? I'm sure that umpteen Labour MPs would be more than happy to lend their vote.

The council said it lit up its city hall in purple on Thursday to show solidarity with the Minneapolis community following Mr Floyd’s death.

The spokesman said: “We do not consider this in any way to be offensive graffiti, we consider it an important work of art.

“We denounce racism in the strongest terms and stand in solidarity with members of the BAME community in Norwich, across the country and globally.

“We would like to commission the artist to reinstate the artwork.”

The artist, who goes by the name Knapple, said she would repaint the mural on Friday.

She said: “I think it shows a lack of compassion, understanding by the contractors, they didn’t think to query it?”

If I painted something on a wall with an "A.C.A.B." reference (which shows up clearly in this example) I'd expect it to be taken down/covered and also to be in trouble after admitting it was me that did it.....

Someone murdered abroad and our Police should see graffiti saying they need to be accountable? This has nothing to do with our Police.
By:

Yes, just as police should be accountable for their actions, so should the thousands of cretins and thugs who scandalously broke Lockdown this last few weeks, to take part in ludicrous 'protests' (i.e. riots) concerning Mr Dominic Cummings and Mr George Floyd. Their actions inexplicably left unchallenged by the liberal British media that simultaneously wants the Lockdown to continue.

Needless to say, the vast majority of those 'protestors' wouldn't be able to pick at least one of Cummings and Floyd out of an identity parade.

If 'Blue Peter; is still going strong, maybe they could start a 'Black Lives Matter' graffiti competition, with a special black Blue Peter badge for the winner, and the winning design to adorn the exterior of all BBC property?

It all goes to show just how prescient Spinal Tap were. Around 40 years ahead of their time with their "Smell The Glove" album cover.

Are you outraged because somebody died in police custody or because somebody else, Like you, didn't protest about it?

they just want to divert from issues anytime anything is brought up. They don't care about people like the guy in the article and just want to use it to own the lefties and the libs.

They would be the same people that haul up any sort of bad thing anything that any of these people had done if they were black. They have no stance or principles when it comes to opposing police brutality and if posts from most people over the past week are anything to go by, most people actively support it.

the protests might be under the Black Lives Matter umbrella but the same groups are the only ones campaigning against Police brutality in general. There were 2 other cases brought up by people on here that were white people killed by police, the only activism and highlighting of the case it was by these same groups. One of the policemen in one of the cases just so happened to Somali-American so all the "lefties don't care about whites!!" types focused on this aspect of it rather than the fact of another police abuse of power (also funnily enough, this officer was one of very few who actually got time for a killing)

By:

and these protests can be a good thing to shine a light on other stories like that because otherwise the same injustices will continue to happen. it's probably a near certainty that none of these people would have mentioned Tony Timpa's name until they can expose what they believe is a hypocrisy and not because they actually are against the kind of things the police do.

Is there much Police brutality in this country? Probably not. Some people just feel obliged to show us how caring they are and will jump on any bandwagon to do so. This was a man who attacked a lone woman with a gun in his hand. Our young feministas out on the streets either don't care about her, or are willing to look the other way in the name of politics.

No I didn't protest and wouldn't. What happened to George Floyd was disgusting. All I'm trying to point out possibly badly is that everyone should be equal. I'm getting tired of being told by the media etc that I should be ashamed to be white.

Were there masses of blacks protesting the white guy's death.

you don't care about the white guy, and neither does anyone else who brings him up in response to BLM. if there had been huge protests everyone here would probably have just said the police probably killed him for some reason and maybe he was being violent or whatever no doubt

All Cops Are accountaBle = ACAB and not ACAA

we all know what ACAB means

and i have used that term when younger less so now and have chanted it written graffiti with it etc

but never used it in a racist way
