I want to get another computer upstairs to attach to my wifi (router's downstairs) and although
that's not a problem with a laptop, what will I need for the other tower to pick up the signal?
I'm sure that it'll be some sort of USB connection device but what are they called?

Thanks Zorro - a tad more expensive than what I've just got.
I'll see if/how it works and I may well be forced into 'upgrading' - you
get what you pay for, so it's said...but I'm a cheap-skate fcuk Happy

You dont want a bluetooth dongle, you want a wifi dongle.

Remember, of course, that wifi signals generally travel better horizontally than vertically.
As a consequence of your router being downstairs, the signal strength will be stronger downstairs than it is upstairs.

There are various options available to help with this, but just something to be aware of.

Be aware that wifi is less secure than internet via ethernet cable. So, it's less wise to do things like online banking on wifi.
