Yes ITIt's getting to the point where it looks like you'd be better off taking your social distancing actions in a preemptive way BEFORE it becomes clear there is any sort of seeding in your country.Hindsight is great but for this virus this sort of policy even with the limited early testing we had could have had significant results to stop early spread.
Key for if there is a '2nd wave' doomsters some have talked about.
Also if there is another virus in years to come.
I doubt we will ever see this type of lockdown of the healthy again even if Boris etc never admit it was a mistake.

I'll say this. It was incomprehensible to me at the time that we would be locked down in such a way. This has never happened in Blighty and I could just not get it through my head. I knew the travel via planes was the major spreader initially and again could not understand why this was not curtailed sooner although again this is perhaps more in hindsight. I thought Chumps closing of flights from China was political rather than practical so why weren't flights from Italy, Spain and the UK not closed off sooner?I would say though they had the benefit of Operation Cygnus. This was ignored. They had experts, they had the information and should have known what to do. Clearly with hindsight we should have stopped the flights and locked down quicker and harder for a shorter period. They are in power to make these decisions and they have failed miserably. We are in a terrible mess and the real tragedy of the situation...the Economy is not even up for discussion yet. Many more people will die indirectly from this than from the Corona Virus. Many businesses, homes and jobs will be lost and result in misery for tens of thousands of people.
Yes.
The effects of the economic destraction is going to be far reaching for public services as the tax base will be shattered.
It is the worst down turn for 300 years.
SAGE never took into account the economy and gave people like Ferguson too much time.
We must learn from this be ask more questions and get more view points in real time and not blindly follow 'the science' that is presented by vested interests.

No furlough money for me.
My official incomes for coding work are all in tact.
Betting income down a lot but hopefully will return from June 1st. Maybe will actually wait a few weeks for the form to settle down.

Economists are scientists.

Boris etc will not admit it was a mistake.
But we will not go into full lockdown again thank goodness.

It hasn't saved lives as 37,000+ have supposedly died, even with the lockdown hundreds are still dying per day (allegedly)
America? 100,000 deaths and they locked down when it was below 20k? they should not be allowed to get away with that "spin"
This should topple any government and it mean the end of the big state
