The government have signed a deal with the drug company Gilead for the anti viral drug Remdesivir .
Originally developed for Hepatitis C . It never worked .
They then tried it on Ebola . Not effective .
SARS . Not effective
MERS . Not effective
Marburg . Not effective .
Covid 19 . Side effects in studies include respiratory failure , organ impairment , inflammation of the liver , low blood pressure , nausea , vomiting , sweating and shivers .
Apparently they have stockpiles of it .
What's not to like ?
